Using Dielectric Grease On Battery Terminals. 9302021 31010 PM EDT. FWIW I use that stuff on everything that can corrode that carries current.

Saw another article by a EE HAM radio operator indicating that silicon dielectric grease had advantages over petroleum. Dialectric grease will help prevent corrosion on your ebikes battery terminals. Additionally I add grease.
I dont need to go into battery chemistry here but having too much voltage drop across the battery terminals will shorten the batterys lifespan.
In theory on battery terminals you would not want to coat the components before making the connections but coat them afterwards. BUT it does NOT conduct electricity so make sure the mating surfaces can well. Do not overdo it - a light coat is all that is needed. I use it in liberal amounts on ground connections to inhibit corrosion on stainless-to-zinc galvanized lead-to-lead stainless-to-copper and stainless-to-aluminum electrical connections.
